She was born March 1, 1927, in Nelson County, a daughter of Lena Belle Jones Lawhorne and the late John Leslie Lawhorne.
She was the widow of Kester Warren Campbell and was a member of Massies Mill Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Lawhorne.
In addition to her mother, survivors include two sons, Warren L. Campbell and Robert L. "Bobby" Campbell, both of Roseland; one daughter, Rebecca C. McMurry; seven sisters, Faye Lawhorne of Pottstow, Pa., Mildred Campbell of Piney River, McJoy Williams of Arrington, Cora Belle Hughes of Massies Mill, and Peggy Lawhorne, Anne Allen and Jean Lawhorne, all of Tyro; and eight grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Massies Mill Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Gordon Mapes with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the home of Warren Campbell in Roseland.
Memorial donations may be made to Massies Mill Presbyterian Church or Roseland Rescue Squad.
Mrs. Campbell is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Brenda Lawhorne and Wanda Lawhorne; and one son-in-law, Mike McMurry.
