C.E. "Chock" Lasater, 74, Borger, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 1989, in a boating accident in Matagorada [sic].

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Everett Smith pastor, officiating.

A native of Bransville, Md., he had been a Borger and Phillips resident for 42 years.

Mr. Lasater was a retired construction superintendent for Phillips and a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of the home; two sons, H.H. "Sonny" of Morrilton, Ark.; and R.E. "Red" of Dumas; two sisters, Jennie Braden of Borger; and Pauline Perrier of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Harry Lasater and Troy Lasater, both of Odessa; and Dick Lasater of Bartlesville, Okla.; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
