He was born April 11, 1924 in Payson, Utah to John S. Black and Martha Emma Loretta Jeffs Monroe.
Jack worked for the U.S. Post Office. Jack was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his son, Jack (Karen) Black of Taylorsville, Utah; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife; parents; two brothers; three sisters; granddaughter, Jackie.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West). Viewings will be held on Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
