Mrs. Inez Allen, 74 year old Cadiz resident, died at 11:15 am Wednesday after suffering an apparent heart attack while attending a homemakers' meeting at the home of a friend.
Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Herring and the Rev. Albert Kraus will officiate and burial will be in Siloam Cemetery.
A native of Lyon County, Mrs. Allen was born March 14, 1896, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tinsley Mitchell. Her husband, Carloss Blane Allen, died in 1961.
Mrs. Allen was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was also a member of the Cadiz Day Homemakers and the Whatsoever Sewing Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Troy Alexander, Trigg County, Mrs. Edward Tyler, Cadiz, and Mrs. Pete Hendricks, Detroit; a son, Noble Allen, Trigg County; a brother, Liston Mitchell, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cecil, Dewey, and Chappell Allen, Douglas Stone, and Plomer and Willis Clark.
