Herman D. Wendt, 88, of RD 5, Cameron, died Wednesday in Cameron Health Care Center. He was a retired self employed carpenter, and a member of Big Run Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Earnest Wendt, in 1984; his parents, George and Lucretia McCormick Wendt; two sisters. Surviving are a son, Arnold of Cameron; a daughter, Shirley Chambers of Kalamazoo, Mich; three brothers, Arthur and George, both of Cameron and Lloyd of Moundsville; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Miller of Canton, Ohio, Lola Antill of Moundsville and Mable Earnest of Waynesburg, PA; four grandchildren; seven great?grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received 2?4 and 7?9 p.m. Friday at Anderson Funeral Home, 39 Maple Ave., Cameron. Services will be held Saturday with Rev. Walter McNutt. Interment in Big Run Christian Church Cemetery.
