Born in Macungie he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Weiler) Christman,and the husband of Mary Ann (Fallstick) Christman who preceded him in death on February 9,1901.
Mr Christman was a Civil War Veteran enlisting as a Private in Company F,32nd Pa.Reg. at Easton,Pa.July 20,1861,for three years.He was listed as a casualty on November 23,1862 being wounded by a minnie ball in his lower left leg,in the Seven Days Battle outside Richmont,Va.He was aprisoner of War captured at High Bridge,Va. on April 6,1865.He was mustered out in Harrisburg,Pa.July 15,1865.
He is survived by eleven sons,Allen,Harry,George,John,Richard,Robert,and Raymond all of Allentown,Edwin of Mechanicsburg,Charles and William both of Coopersburg and Frederick of Bethlehem.also brother James of Allentown,sisters Nina Barnay,of N.J.and Minnie of Allentown .40 grandchildren,29 great-grandchildren.
