Cherrie A. Riddle, 71 died Saturday, June 28, 1980, at Sparks Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Services will be noon Tuesday at Reed-Culbert Funeral Chapel with Rev. Owen Haworth officiating. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
She was born February 14, 1909, in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. She grew up in the County and moved to California with her husband William Columbus Riddle in 1942. After his death on April 5, 1970, she returned to Tahlequah.
Survivors include three sisters; Ollie Dumond of Tahlequah, Willie Belle Joy of Owasso, and June Hutching of Fort Gibson; and two brothers, Ross Benge and Blue Benge, both of Fort Gibson.
