Mrs. Smith died at 11 AM Friday at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, where she had been a patient since Thursday morning.
She was born in the Concord Community in Decatur County, daughter of the late Lonnie and Alice Churchwell Long and received her education in county schools there.
Mrs., Smith had lived in Jackson and vicinity for the past 40 years and was a member of St, Andrews Methodist Church.
She was married to George L. Smith on May 10, 1910.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Woodrow W. Smith, Oakfield, Earl Smith, Memphis and Paul Smith, Henderson; a daughter Mrs. Bernice Allen, Jackson; a brother Argyle Long , Memphis; four half sisters; three half brothers; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Rachel, Joe Allen Fesmire, L. C. Nolen, Claude Henderson and Carl Melson.
The body will be at the funeral home until time for services.
