Was Horribly Burned About Body Recently While in Room Dressing One of Her Children
After suffering intense pain from burns sustained about the body about two weeks ago, Mrs Camphuis, wife of George A. Camphuis of the firm of Camphuis and Rives died at her home 1520 Santa Maria Avenue this morning.
Mrs Camphuis was engaged in dressing one of her children at her home when her dress caught fire and she was badly burned before the flames were extinguished.

Touching Scenes at the Home Where a Devoted Wife and Loving Mother Was Called to Eternal Home
The funeral of Mrs. George A. Camphuis, who died at her home on Santa Maria Avenue at 5 o'clock yesterday morning as the result of burns sustained recently, took place yesterday afternoon and was one of the saddest and most impressive funerals ever witnessed here. the house of sorrow where funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.W. Cook of the Episcopal church had many toughing scenes as a result of the grief of the heart broken husband and the three children and not a dry eye was in the home.
From the home the funeral procession moved to the city cemetery where committal services were conducted by Rev. Cook and the remains of Mrs Camphuis were consigned to their eternal rest.
