Arvin H. Dutschmann, 65, of Robinson, Texas, passed away March 25, 2010, at his residence, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 29, at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Arvin was born in China Spring, Texas, to the late Henry and Lydia Dutschmann. He married Carolyn Sielaff on March 25, 1966. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Arvin was employed by Central Freight Lines for the past 36 years as a line driver and had over two million miles as a safe driver. He was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. He loved watching his grandkids compete in their respective sports. Arvin was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Otto, Eddie and Winfred Dutschmann; and three nephews.

Arvin is survived by his wife, Carolyn of 44 years; daughters; Cindy Lashmet and husband, Steve, of Gatesville, Deanne Solberg and husband, Randy, and Amy Helpert and husband, Kirk, all of Robinson; grandchildren, Clayton Lashmet, Morgan and Mason Helpert, and Candace and Caden Solberg; brothers, Aubrey, Robert, Floyd, Arlan, Rayford and Marvin Dutschmann; and many nieces and nephews.
