Goldie was raised in the Arapaho area and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1942 and then continued her education at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK. She married Albert E. (Ace) Friedrich, Jr., April 12, 1956.
They had one son, A.E. “Fred” Friedrich, III and he preceded them in death in 1995.
She was a faithful and active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church; U.S. Postal Auxiliary; Custer County Mental Health, Contact Crisis Intervention, and NARFE. She also mentored in the Clinton Schools and volunteered at the Route 66 Museum for over 15 years. She worked for Morrison Oil Company, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and receptionist for Dr. Bill Tisdal and Dr Ching-yi Chin. She retired in 1985 and made her husband and grandchildren her top priority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, three sisters, Nettie Loveless, Millie Thomas, Allie Simmons, seven brothers, Joe, Haskell, George, Paul, Ward, Vern, and Arch.
She is survived by daughter in law, Cathy Curry Smith, Weatherford; grandchildren, Mickey and wife, Jessica Friedrich, Megan Friedrich and Don Elwick, Weatherford, Brock Friedrich and wife, Natalie, Dallas, TX; great grandchildren, Mela, Bey, Knox, and Goldie Friedrich, Kaiser and Sutton Price, nieces and nephews, Lou and Lucretia Mella, Myrna Orr, Joe Alexander, Pam Levich, Margaret and Mickey Alexander and many great nieces and nephews.
