John W. Alvey, 59, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, at his home. He was born June 28, 1950 in Evansville, IN. John was a graduate of Reitz High School and was employed by Ceva Logistics for 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing with his fire pit. He loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Louise Alvey and two brothers, Gary and Norman Alvey. John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy P. Alvey; daughter, Tamara Alvey (Brian Thomas) of Evansville; son, John Alvey, Jr. (Brandi) of Kileen, TX; sister, Janice Pierce (Gilbert) of Evansville; grandchildren, Savannah Becker, Trevor Alvey, Paytyn Alvey, and Garret Muensterman; and several nieces. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel.
