Mr. Ernest Floyd Shanks, 98, of Albion, Oklahoma, passed away, Sunday, March 21st, 2010 at Talihina Manor Nursing Home, Talihina, Oklahoma. Mr. Shanks was born in Guymon, Oklahoma on June 15, 1911, the son of the late Floyd Hilliard and Lillian Belle (Dowdy) Shanks. He was a member of First Baptist Church Albion Oklahoma. He was a Pipefitter. He was the widower of Margie Evangeline (Gilbert) Shanks. He is survived by: Son(s): Morris G. Shanks of Liberty, Texas, Cameron Earl Shanks of LaPorte,Texas. Step Daughter(s): Barbara J. Johnson of Talihina,Oklahoma. Sister(s): Christine Harder of Longview, Texas. As well as numerous other family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday March 23, 2010 at Talihina Funeral Home Chapel, Talihina, Oklahoma with Brother Mark Cook officating. Interment will follow at the Old Talihina Cemetery Talihina, Oklahoma under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
