Mrs. Helen Blakeley, age 95, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004 at her residence in Lovelady. Mrs. Blakeley was born in Glendale to Tom and Lou Maples Jackson on May 12, 1909 and had resided in Lovelady for most of her life. Mrs. Blakeley was a retired homemaker and was a member of the Lovelady Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her six children Louise Speaker and husband George, of Crockett, Marie Driskell and husband James (Mike), James Blakeley, Ruby Sexton and husband Billy, Anna McKenzie and husband Harold and Carolyn Level and husband John, all of Lovelady; daughter-in-law Cleo Blakeley, of Lovelady; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Gertrude Price, of Lovelady; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husbands Doyle Tolbert and Claude Blakeley; son Coy Blakeley; grandson John Ray Speaker; and daughter-in-law Wilma Jean Blakeley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Blakeley were held Saturday, October 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ottis Byers and the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment followed in the Love-lady Antioch Cemetery. Callaway-Allee Funeral Home
