Word had been received of the recent death of Robert Crawford Baylor, son of Mrs. G. Frank Baylor of Swoope and the late Mr. Baylor.
He was born May 28, 1917 and was educated in Augusta County Schools. He died in Washington, where he was employed as a chemist in the Naval Research Department. Mr. Baylor served with the Navy during World War II.
Survivors also include five sisters, Mrs. W.F. Sanderson and Mrs. R.V. Selby, both of Richmond, Mrs. R.E. Loraine and Mrs. W.T. Murphy, both of Miami, and Mrs. D.H. Harper of Ellicott City, Md.; two brothers, George F. Jr. of Staunton and Maj. John D. Baylor who is serving with the Marine Corps in New York; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in Hebron Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
