Plikard Dederic Siler, son of Andreas Sailer and Mary Catherina came to America in 1741 on the same ship as his bride to be Elizabeth Hartzoe. It is said that her father, Frederick Hartzoe was the captain of that ship. They landed in Phil., PA. From there they went to Chatham Co., NC to Lacy's creek, near where Siler City now stands. They are both buried in the graveyard at the Rocky River Baptist Church near Siler City, NC.
