Jacob O. Siler, Sr., son of Plikard Dederic & Elizabeth (Hartzoe) Siler came to Knox County, (Whitley now) KY in about 1805. He married Margaret Rachel Teague, daughter of William Able & Elizabeth Teague. They had 12 children, the last 4 being born in Whitley County, KY. A large monument marking their grave was unveiled at the 3rd. annual reunion of the Kentucky Silers in 1900.
