Son of George Butler Addison (1846–1923) and Sarah Ann Morrison Addison (1862–1940); husband of Julia Whelstine Addison (1890-1956),
A Methodist, World War I veteran, and a retired livestock dealer.
Survivors include his daughter, Helen Beatrice Addison Crossley (1921–2008); sons, James Walter Addison (1911-1979), George Butler Addison, Jr. (1920–1981), and John William "Bill" Addison (1923-2003); and eight grandchildren.
Also predeceased by a brother, James Hamilton"Ham" Addison (1892-1963).
Services were held at 11:00 am, Monday, at Sunset Memorial Park by Rev. Harry McAbee.
