D. Ross Adams, 80, of Kittanning Township, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. He was born May 16, 1923 in Kittanning Township to Guy and Martha (Graham) Adams. Mr. Adams was president and partner of Adams Steel Erection of Kittanning. A Navy veteran, he served during World War II. He was a member of the Elderton Presbyterian Church. His other memberships included the Mason Lodge 244 of Kittanning-East Brady, New Castle Consistory, Pittsburgh Syria Shrine, BPOE 204 of Kittanning and was a past member of the Friday Ball and Chain and Monday Frontier leagues. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Clara (Cawley) Adams, whom he married July 8, 1950; two daughters, Carol Adams of Sarver and Doris Adams of Kittanning Township; one brother, Vernon Adams of Kittanning Township; and two sisters, Alberta Jackson, formerly of Ford City and Mrs. William (Helen) Crissman of Kittanning Township. He was preceded in death by his parents. ADAMS -- Friend of D. Ross Adams, 80, of Kittanning Township, who died Feb. 5, 2004, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. John Erthein, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township.
