Kitty was the first wife of Thomas Byron, son of William Lawrence and Emma Cronin Byron. Not sure where or when she died, but it had to be before 1880 because Thomas was then married to Marie Connors.

Thomas was the half Uncle of my mother Helen Gilruth Gallagherl.

Kitty Shea was the sister of Mary Shea that married James Manning. The Byron and Manning families had a long lasting relationship beginning in Tipperary, Ireland and ending in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania.

The first evidence lies in the fact that William Patrick Byron's older brother, Thomas, first married Mary (Shea) Manning's sister, Kitty Shea.

Then, when William and Mary (Slattery) Byron moved their family to Wales, they lived close to the Manning family on Goshen Street in Rhymney.

When the families emigrated to America they would eventually live near each other again this time on West Union Street in Nanticoke.

The Byron and Manning families also share a plot and grave stone in St. Francis Cemetery in Nanticoke, with Byron on one side and Manning on the other.
