Donald was born June 17th, 1931 in Clinton, MO to Rev. R. I. and Lena Skaggs. Donald was a twenty year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring in 1972. After he retired he returned to Germany as a tech representive for six years. Donald later owned and operated the L and L Furniture Store in Clinton, for ten years. he was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Clinton VFW Lodge, American Legion, Odd Fellows, and Eagles Lodge all of Clinton. Donald is preceded in death by a step-son, Howard King; parents, Rev. R. I and Lena Skaggs; Brothers, William Skaggs and Kenneth Skaggs; sister Mary Virginia Skaggs who died in infancy.
Among survivors includes his wife, Lou of the home. Brothers Robert and wife Rita Skaggs, of Scranton, KS, Sam Skaggs of Kansas City, MO. Tom Sr. and wife Nancy Skaggs of Clinton, MO; Sisters, Clarice Eberting, Wreatha Cameron, Nancy and husband Marvin Woirhaye, all of Clinton, Mo and Pat Pickens of Urich, MO; step-daughter-in-law Jeannie King, of Pheonix, AZ; step granddaughters, Debbie King and Doreen Jefferys, of Kansas City, MO. and many nieces and nephews.
