Clarice E. Eberting, age 89, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away, Monday, December 22, 2014 at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Twin Lakes Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Clarice was born June 28, 1925 in Hartwell, Missouri the daughter of Richard and Lena (Fellhauer) Skaggs. She married Harry Eugene Eberting on March 5, 1950. Clarice worked as a credit manager in bookkeeping for Sears. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Clarice enjoyed reading, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry Eugene Eberting; four siblings, Kenneth, William, Donald, and Mary Skaggs; and two son-in-laws, John Keller and Stephen Sell.

Survivors include three children, Victoria Campbell (John) of Clinton, Missouri, Stephen Eberting (Dixie) of Clinton, Missouri, and Debra Hughes (Harry) of Lowry City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Chad Eberting (Jodie) of Raymore, Missouri, Janae Tibai (T.J.) of Raymore, Missouri, Stephanie Brister of Clinton, Missouri, Summer Bryant (Craig) of Manhattan, Kansas, Jill Wareham (Clint) of Clinton, Missouri, Jarrod Campbell (Christian) of Clinton, Missouri, Matt Hughes (Jackie) of Lowry City, Missouri, Melissa Hughes of Lowry City, Missouri, Trisha Smith of Pensacola, Florida, and Hank Keller of Pensacola, Florida; 15 great-grandchildren with one on the way; three brothers, Tom Skaggs (Nancy) of Clinton, Missouri, Robert Skaggs (Rita) of Lawrence, Kansas, and Samuel Skaggs of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Wreatha Cameron of Clinton, Missouri, Patricia Ann Pickens of Urich, Missouri, and Nancy Woirhaye of Clinton, Missouri, and a sister-in-law, Lou Skaggs of Kansas City, Missouri.
