Edna Mae Ormsbee, of Rolla, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, at the age of 90 of natural causes.
She was born in Anutt, MO, on December 21, 1929 to the late Lenzy and Maude (Fore) Warren.
On December 24, 1946 she married Leland R. Ormsbee (Army Retired Lieutenant Colonel) who preceded her in death on April 1, 1994 after 48 years of marriage.
Mrs. Ormsbee had a distinguished career with the U.S.G.S. as a cartographer spanning 29 years. She was loved dearly by all her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ormsbee was preceded in death by her children, Ricky Lee Ormsbee, Pamela Sue Ormsbee and Michael Alan Ormsbee; siblings, Mary Frank and husband Johnny, Lee Warren and wife Bernice, infant brother, Jimmy Ray; brother-in-law, Herb Knight; and one grandchild, Matthew Ormsbee.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes one sister, Ann Knight, of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ormsbee, of Shawnee, KS; two grandchildren, David Ormsbee and wife Shawna, of Layton, Utah and Carrie Snell and husband Brandon, of Kansas City, MO; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; long time special friend, Kathy Crider, of Rolla, MO; other extended family and dear friends.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Mrs. Ormsbee will be interred privately next to her late husband in the Anutt Cemetery.
A public memorial service celebrating her life will be coordinated and announced at a later date in Rolla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Anutt Cemetery.
