MONTEREY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Buckner, 83, of Monterey, will be held Sunday, December 30, at 2 p,m. in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Doug Terry and Rev. Dewitt Sampley officiating. Burial will be in Whittaker Cemetery. Mrs. Buckner died Friday, Dec. 28, 1990, in Cookeville General Hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1907, in Cumberland County. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Martha Blaylock Burgess. She was a member of the Monterey Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Buckner, and two sons, S.T. Buckner and Carl Buckner. Her family includes three sons, Emerson Buckner of Anderson, Indiana, General Lee Buckner of Cookeville, and Odie Buckner of Cookeville; two daughters, Willene Clemons of Monterey and Imogene Kolbe of Lebanon; and ten grand- children, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Goff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
