Mary Shields was living with Charles T. & Augusta (nee Aldridge) Cooper in 1895 in Baldwin City, Douglas County, Kansas. Mary's father remarried after the death of his wife and was listed in Thurston County, Washington Territory in 1880.
Mary's husband and three of her brothers all served in the 9th Kansas Cavalry during the Civil War.
