The 1900 census lists his birth in July, 1844. James M. Aldridge served from January, 1862 - January, 1865 in Co. H, 9th Kansas Cavalry. He was first married to Mary E. Shields in September of 1870. (Anderson County, KS marriage index) It is possible that Mary Shields Aldridge is also buried in the Central City Cemetery. James was listed with his wife Nancy Ann (nee McKean) in a number of Kansas and Missouri census reports.
