14 Feb 1982: David P. Hower, 76, husband of Mildred Wea1and Hower, of 609 W. Main St., Annville, died Friday evening at his residence. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Davilla & Mary Stengle Hower. He was retired from the Lebanon County Prison, where he had been a guard. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are three sons, Donald: L. Hower; Earl Hower and Robert Hower, all of Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Hassler, of Richland; and five sisters; Mrs. Isabelle Brown, of Myerstown; Mrs. Alice Schaefer, of Lebanon; Mrs. Arlen Wengert, of Lebanon; Mrs. Josie Bashore, of Lebanon, and Mrs. Annie Miller, of Palmyra. Also surviving are three brothers, Lloyd Hower, of Florida; Davilla Hower, of Myerstown, & Maurice Hower, of Lebanon, and eight grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]

16 Feb 1982: Services were held this afternoon from the Rohland Funeral Home for David P. Hower, of 609 W. Main St., Annville, the husband of Mildred Wealand Hower. The Rev. Wilson R. Hoyer, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated. Interment was in Kimmerlings Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald, Earl, Robert and Richard Hower and Stephen and Philip Bennetch.
