Charley Roberts, age 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, a Baxter County native, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Care Manor Nursing Home.

He was born January 7, 1920 in Bentley Ridge, Arkansas to R.W. and Ollie (Trivett) Roberts.

Mr. Roberts married Nellie May Huddleston February 2, 1946 in Baxter County, Arkansas.

He worked for as a butcher 55 plus years for several grocery stores and packing plants in the Baxter County area. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church of Mountain Home and sold peanut brittle to help support the church.

He was a United States Army veteran serving during WWII.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife: Nellie May Roberts of Mountain Home, Arkansas, a son: Ezra Roberts and wife Jane of Mountain Home, Arkansas, two daughters: Charlene Loveall and husband Richard of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Linda Womack and husband Dwayne of Judsonia, Arkansas, a sister: Nellie Davis of Round Lake, Minnesota, six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Apostolic Faith United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Fred Ruff, Reverend Carl Mize, Reverend Scott Burkhart and Reverend Rick Loveall officiating. Interment was in Quality Ridge Cemetery.
