Edna Caroline Boriack 2011-04-07 / Obituaries January 10, 1931 - April 1, 2011 Mrs. Boriack passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 in Austin. Edna Caroline Schneider Boriack was born on January 10, 1931 in Fedor, Texas to Ewald and Wilhelmine (Vogel)Schneider. She was baptized on January 18, 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor and confirmed on April 9, 1944 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Edna was united in marriage to Clarence Boriack on January 2, 1949 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Their marriage was blessed with 8 children, Darleen Lehmann of Dime Box, Delvin Boriack of Serbin, Shirley Klima of Taylor, Carol Tallas, Margie Zak of Taylor, Peggy Casey of Granbury, Douglas Boriack of Paige, Wesley Boriack of Lincoln. Edna was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church. She loved being out side with her cows and chickens, working in her gardening, making noodles, visiting with friends and family and traveling to Louisiana with her daughter. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Boriack; one grandson Andrew Boriack; sonin law, Alvin Klima; one brother Gilbert Schneider; and one sister in law, Ruth Scheider. She is survived by her children: Darleen and Larry Lehmann of Dime Box, Delvin and Judy Boriack of Serbin, Shirley Klima and Ralph Faykus of Taylor, Carol and Jerry Tallas, Margie and Johnnie Zak of Taylor, Peggy and Rodney Casey of Granbury, Douglas Boriack and Tammy Strohaver of Paige, and Wesley and Connie Boriack of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren;1 brother Albert and Irene Schneider; 1 sister Marie and Leon Albrecht of Paige; 1 sisters-in-law, Ellen Schneider of Giddings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved extended family. Funeral services for Edna Caroline Boriack 80 of Lexington were held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington with Rev. Leif Hasskarl officiating. Burial followed in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Memorials may be made to the Lee County Cancer Resource Center, St. James Lutheran Building Fund or the charity of one's choice.
