In Memory of Mrs Mary E Burton. Miss Mary Elizabeth Townley was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, May 12, 1835, and died June 5, 1904, at the age of sixty-nine years. When about seventeen she joined the Baptist Church, of which she was till death a consecrated member. She was married to Peter Burton June 10, 1855, and with him moved near Gamble Mines, Alabama, where she lived the remainder of her life.
