"Dot" worked at JJ Newberry during her early twenties. She was the first black to serve the public at the 5 and 10 cent store doughnut and hot dog stands.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son William Clinkscales of Asheville; daughter, Reather C. Neal of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; two aunts, two uncles; other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hart Funeral Service. Dr. C.R. Mosley will officiate, burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery.
