Lester Raymond "Fat" Ledbetter, 62, Huntsville, died June 10 in Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born October 7, 1915, in Madison County, he was the son of Burley and Minnie Parker Ledbetter and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mozelle Bookout Ledbetter of the home; three sons, Bill Ledbetter of Springdale, Luther Ledbetter of Hindsville, and Bobby Ledbetter of Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Joann Glass of Battle Mountain, Nevada, Mrs. Betty Canion of Huntsville, and Mrs. Sharl Poole of Lexington, North Carolina; four brothers, Vester Ledbetter of Fayetteville, Bill Ledbetter and Omar Ledbetter of Fullerton, Calif., and Lee Ledbetter of Gentry; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Rumley of Fullerton, Calif., and Mrs. Cuby Dubois of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, in the Chapel of Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Interment was in the Huntsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Freddie Boyd, Kenneth Boyd, Darrell Ledbetter, Richard Ledbetter, James Reed and Johnnie Reed.
