Ramona J. Miller, 85, of Lafayette, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her residence. She was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Lafayette and was the daughter of the late John F. and Margaret B. Amstutz Cowger. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School Miller in Indianapolis in 1942. On Nov. 28, 1947, she married Eugene W. Miller in Lafayette. He died June 3, 2002. Mrs. Miller had worked at Alcoa as a compensation administrator for 51 years before retiring on Nov. 1, 1993. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, Alcoa Retirees Club, Elks and American Legion auxiliaries, and the Purdue Womens Boilermaker Network. She enjoyed watching sports on TV and working crossword puzzles. She loved her faithful companion Princess Miller.

Surviving are 3 nieces Ramona S. Krueger and Sandra Leverenz (husband: James), both of Lafayette, and Judy Carroll of Indianapolis; 3 nephews, Greg Todd (wife: Ann) of Lafayette, Dave Wilson (wife: Dorothy) of Arizona and Steve Wilson (wife: Carol) of Tennessee; 2 great-nephews Chris Krueger (wife: Karen) of Schaumburg, 111., and Nate Krueger (wife: Robyn) of Lafayette; 4 great-neices and nephews, Elainna, Chayton, Cole and Rhys Krueger.

Ramona was preceded in death by a niece, Carla Jo Miller.
