Eleanor L. Chapman, 83, of Battle Creek died at her home on Monday, January 30, 2006.
She was born in Homer, Michigan on July 9, 1922 the daughter of Loring and Anna (Hardwick) Keithan, and was a graduate of Marshall High School.
Eleanor married Robert M. Chapman in Albion on April 6, 1947; he survives. She is also survived by her son, Wayne and his wife, Carolyn Chapman of Battle Creek.
Eleanor served as past president of the Lakeview PTA. She loved to cook, embroider and make latch hook rugs. Eleanor also enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, hockey and truly loved spending time with her family and friends.
At the request of the family, they will receive friends 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., today at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Funeral Home with Bob Heine, minister of Central Christian Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at West Eckford Cemetery, Marshall.
Memorials made to Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice would be appreciated.
