Ola "Ruth" Maxey was born October 19, 1911 to William and Florence Collett. She passed from this life March 11, 2010 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 98. Ruth married Robert Lee Maxey on December 17, 1927 in Antlers, Oklahoma and they were together until his passing in 1985. She was a member of the Farris Baptist Church, and later at Antlers First Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, make crafts, & spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Robert Maxey. She is survived by her children: Martha McMahan & husband Wayland of Miller, Oklahoma, Betty Couch & husband Boyce of Antlers, Wanda McMahan of McAlester, Oklahoma, Jackie Davis & husband Pat of Delight, Arkansas, Robert Maxey, Jr. & wife Dorothy of Park Hill, Oklahoma, and Lynda Dyke & husband Leroy of Greenville, Michigan; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. Services will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at Antlers First Baptist Church with Pat Davis, Wayland McMahan and Leroy Dyke officiating. Interment will be at Darwin Cemetery.
