WILSON -- Graveside rites for Benton Enoch Collett, 86, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hewitt Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Johnson officiating.
Collett was born Jan. 20, 1914, at Farris, to William and Florence Gadberry Collett. He died Feb. 5, 2000, at Colbert.
Reared in Sulphur, he attended the Oklahoma School for the Deaf, graduating in 1923, and married Aubrene Todd in May 1942. He had lived in Wilson a number of years and was employed by Patterson Cleaners before becoming owner-operator of his own cleaning business in Healdton. He was preceded in death by two sons, William, in January 1945, and Eddie, May 2, 1979; a sister, Alice Owens; and brother, Linton.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Jeanne Ladouceur, Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Ora Lee Butler, Fresno, Calif., and Ruth Maxey, Antlers; five grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
Alexander Funeral Home will direct services.
