Fred Amsler, 81, Died Tuesday
---Fred Amsler, 81, Route 1, Eckford township, died at Oaklawn hospital at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday after being a patient there since Monday morning. He had been ill for four weeks.
---Born Nov. 13, 1886 in Hardin city, Ohio, the son of Harmon and Margaret (Wells) Amsler, he married Ruth Lilies, Jan. 6, 1914 in Kenton, Ohio. She preceded him in death July 18, 1965.
---They came here from Ohio in 1930 and he had been a farmer and carpenter most of his life.
---Survivors include three daughters, Miss Eileen Amsler, and Mrs. Erman (Betty) Riser, both of Stuart Lake and Mrs. Richard (Miriam) Kelly, 440 W. Hughes st.; one son, Francis, Burlington; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Esta Smith, 401 S. Jefferson st.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Fred Amsler, Eckford township, who died Tuesday afternoon at Oaklawn hospital will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Court funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Halbleib of the Church of God, Burlington will officiate and interment will follow in Oakridge cemetery. Friends who wish may call at the Court funeral home.
