Born October 28, 1879, at Nata Creek, he was the son of Bill and Nancy Boling.
A resident of West Van Lear for eight years, he wasa retired miner.
His wife, Anna Boling, preceded him in death April 26, 1956.
Surviving are two sons, Arville Boling, Flatwoods and Paul Boling,Lackey, six daughters, Mrs. Ollie Sexton, St. Helens, Oregon, Mrs.Ethel Sanders, Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Myrtle Ratliff, West Van Lear,Mrs. Gertrude Runyon, Kermit, W. Va., Mrs. Thelma Murray, White House and Mrs. Nellie Webb, Lancer, and one brother, Seymour Boling, Prestonsburg.
Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday from the home with Clifford Booth as officiating minister.
Burial was made in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.
