J.B. Apple died suddenly at his home southeast of Tamalco, February 21, 1910. James Buchanan was born December 17, 1856 in Hancock county, Indiana. He came to Bond county in 1872 and settled in Tamalco township, where he has since resided. On October 17, 1880 he was married to Miss Ida Scott of Tamalco township, who with three children survive. The children are Mrs. Lillie Zobrist of Jewett, Illinois, Scott and Mable Apple, who live at home. He is also survived by three brothers, L.C. Apple, R.K. Apple and J.S. Apple of Bond county and three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Emery of Tamalco, Mrs. Mary Ohren of Missouri and Mrs. Eddina Kesner of Huey and two grandchildren.
