Died 11:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14, 1983 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 68, a native of Ames, Iowa, and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a Southern Well Supply Co. salesman and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday, and after 8 a.m. Monday to religious services at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. James Whitington. Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a friend, Totsy Fortenberry, Baton Rouge; four daughters; two sisters and three brothers. He was an honorary life member of Alcazar Temple, Montgomery, Ala., Panama City Fla. Consistory, and Morocco Temple, Jacksonville, Fla.
