JOSEPHINE A. DUNCAN - Savoy
Funeral services for Josephine A. Duncan, 72, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Savoy, the Rev. Larry Blain and the Rev. Freddy Burden officiated with burial in the Carson Cemetery. Mrs. Duncan died Saturday, May 7, 1994, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.

Mrs. Duncan was born on March 30, 1922 in Fannin County, the daughter of William N.(Bill) Blanton and Ethel King Blanton. She married Marlin (Crow) Thrasher in 1939. She later married Francis (Frank) Duncan in 1962. Mrs. Duncan was retired from Texas Instruments and had lived in Savoy most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Savoy.

Survivors include two sons, Dean Thrasher of Henderson and Billy Thrasher of Savoy; two step-sons, David Duncan of California and Jerry Duncan of Rockwall; daughter, Brenda Murphree of Savoy; step-daughter, Ruth Crosby of California; brothers, Roscoe Blanton of Ravenna, Robert Blanton of Bonham and Bill Blanton of Sherman; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
