Grace V. Michael, 92, of the Western Home, died there Thursday, June 8, 1995 of natural causes. She was born Aug. 27,1902, in Benton, IA, daughter of John Dennis and Margaret Ann Cornelison Dille. She married Earl M. Michael on March 14,1925, in Benton; he died Dec. 14, 1987. Mrs. Michael received her teaching certificate in 1921 from Iowa State Teachers College and taught in rural schools for four years in Ringgold County. She and her husband farmed near Finchford, moving to Cedar Falls in 1956. Survived by: two daughters, Mary Ann Calhoun of Cedar Falls and Shirley J. Calhoun of Nevada; sevengrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by: a sister, Mary M. Hansen. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, with burial in Finchford Cemetery, Finchford. Memorials: may be directed to First Christian Church.
