Funeral services for Mrs. Neva Lillian Walker, 82, of Cookeville will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 7, from the Rickman Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, Rickman, TN with burial in the Harris Chapel Cemetery, Livingston, TN. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. and until time for services on Saturday. Mrs. Walker died on September 5, 2002 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1920 in Overton County to the late Carson and Lona Neely Phillips. She was a furniture factory worker and a homemaker.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, Algood and Rickman Senior Citizens, and Overton County Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Susan & Jack Mainord of Rickman; sons & daughter-in-law, Larry & Betty Walker of Kingston, Robert Walker of the Rock Springs Community, & Bruce Walker of Rickman; sisters, Zenobia Romines of Monterey, Edith Ashburn, Mary Frances Stockton, & Tina Bacon all of Oak Ridge, Faye Elam of Cookeville, and Jane Cooper of Rickman; 4 grandchildren, Tom, Tim, & Josiah Walker, and Aleshia Johnson; 4 great-grandhchildren, Alyssa, Ashley, Reece, & Tia Walker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ershel Walker, parents, and a brother, Talmadge Phillips.
