Ida was the daughter of Johann Andreas & Fredericke (Siefert) Hageman. They came to America with their six children. Ida married Charles Helmuth Cornell in 1887 in Missouri. They had eight children: Sadie, Robert, Hubert, Florence, Melva, Alva, Lottie, & Ella.
They had two sets of twin boys.

Ida was three years old at the time she came to America from Germany.
She married in 1887, to C. H. Cornell, who passed away August 25, 1924.
She passed away at her home. Her remains were brought from Olivia for burial and funeral services were held at the Evangelical church in Ithaca on Tuesday afternoon.
