HUGH LEACH was born in Randolph county, N.C. Feb. 14th 1794, and died near the place of his birth July 26, 1882 in the 89th year of his age. He was a quiet, inoffensive citizen, faultless in morals, even tempered in all his habits, mild in his disposition, genial and kind to all. The community has lost a useful and upright citizen, who expressed himself as being ready and willing to depart."
