Geraldine Lauderdale Cox Stone was born in Cisco, Texas on May 21, 1917 to Elizabeth Ellen and William Lee Lauderdale. She was the second of thirteen children. She died on March 4, 2010 at Sage Healthcare in Lamesa.

In 1936 Geraldine accepted Christ as her Savior and her life has reflected her love for Him, since that time until now where she resides in her heavenly home. She's having a wonderful time singing and praising Jesus and finally getting to visit with those she has longed to see for so long. We miss her, but we know she's happy and whole again.

God blessed our family so much when he chose her to be our Mother, Memaw and Mimi. She truly portrayed the fruit of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Even in these last years when that horrible disease ravaged her mind, she still never failed to tell us how much she loved us.

Her family would like to thank her many friends and her church family for the kindness they've shown over the years. Also a big "Thank You" to the ones who gave loving care to our dear mother during the darkest time of her life. May God bless each of you, especially Angela Acevedo and Brother Walter McCall from Home Hospice.

She is survived by children, Minnie Ellen Reddell and husband, Donald Lee, of Bryan Texas; and Aubrey L. Cox and wife, Shirley, of Brownfield, Texas; sisters, Madge Delaney and Dorothy Smith; brothers, Edward Lauderdale and Jack Lauderdale; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husbands, Aubrey M. Cox, whom she married in 1934, and later Marion J. Stone, whom she married in 1982; sisters, Beatrice Hodges, Bernice Stephenson, Wanda Calloway and Ella Williams; brothers, Monroe Lauderdale, George Lauderdale, Richard Lauderdale and Pittman Lauderdale.

The family suggests memorials to Compass Hospice, 1003 E. FM 700, Big Spring, Texas 79720, 432-263-5999.
