H. W. Hewitt Dead
Downing, Missouri, May 14Dr. Harry Wallace Hewitt, widely known dentist of northeastern Missouri, and son of Mrs. Emily Hewitt Grotz of Quincy, died in his home here at 11:45 o'clock Tuesday night of heart disease.
Dr. Hewitt was born in Memphis, Missouri, December 28, 1870. Besides his mother; he is survived by his widow and three children, Clifford of Keokuk; and Francis and June of Downing. There is one stepson, Robert F. Hart.
Dr. Hewitt was married August 30, 1903. He was a member of the Christian Church of Canton, Missouri, of the M. W. A. and of the reserve corps of Dentists of the U. S. Army. He served three years in the regular army and was in business in Downing for fifteen years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
