According to Louisiana WWI service records, Franklin Bond Garrett was born in Monroe, La., on 6 DEC 1877. During WWI he served overseas from FEB 1918 to JUL 1919 during which he participated in the Aisne-Marne Defense (Chateau Thierry). For his WWI service he was awarded a unit citation and the French Army Fourregere.
