Prospect-News, Doniphan, Mo. Thursday, Oct. 14, 1976 pg. 5 Leah Cochran died at 12:40 p.m., October 9, at Doctor's Hospital in Poplar Bluff after an illness of one day. Mrs. Cochran was a housewife and factory employee. She lived on Route 1, Doniphan, and had lived in Ripley County most of her life.

She was born May 15, 1912, at Bardley. On February 6, 1932, she was married to Addie Cochran at Hornersville. She was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Murray, Doniphan, and Mrs. Betty Dale, Doniphan; two sons, Max Cochran, Doniphan, and Mike Cochran, Doniphan; three sisters, Mrs. Leslie Dale, St. Louis, Mrs. Dena Young, Hornersville and Mrs. Milva Keating, Hornersville.

She is also survived by four brothers, Lou Earl Christian, Hornersville, Noble Christian, Flint, Mich., Herman Christian, Hornersville, and Lonnie Christian, Flint, Mich.; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, at the Doniphan Church of God with Rev. H. Eugene Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Doniphan Cemetery with Edwards Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
