Julia Ann Ramey was the daughter of John and Ann Dean Ramey.

Julia Ann Ramey married Josiah Wallis, son of William and Rachel Millsaps Wallis and grandson of Levi and Jennett Hodge Wallis of Jackson County, Georgia. Josiah's grandfather, Levi Wallis/Wallace was a Revolutionary War Veteran who served out of York District, South Carolina.

On June 27, 1830, Julia Ann Ramey married Josiah Wallis in Clarke County, GA. They had several children: Elizabeth Louise Gardner (Mrs. Daniel Spilsby Anderson), Martha Annie Eugenia "Genie" (Mrs. Ephraim L. Braswell), Georgia Angelena (Mrs. Robert Albert Ballenger), and Julia Catherine Wallis (Mrs. Pinkney Madison Hairston).

DIED-At her home, on the 7th inst., Mrs. Julia Wallis, in the 78th year of her age. Mrs. Wallis had been a member of the Baptist Church forty years. Her remains were interred at New Salem Church, Rev. R. Baber conducting the funeral services.
